In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 news and magazines applications on Android in Latin America showed varied performance trends. Here's a detailed look at their weekly downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Opera News: breaking & local saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 92K at the end of September and peaking at around 196K by the end of December. Weekly active users also rose steadily, from around 524K in late September to over 632K in the last week of December.

Koo: Know What's Happening! experienced a notable spike in weekly downloads mid-quarter, reaching a high of about 525K in the week of November 14. However, downloads declined sharply towards the end of December, dropping to around 8.7K. Weekly active users also reflected this trend, peaking at nearly 452K in mid-November before declining to approximately 103K by the end of December.
